How to Use KöR Teeth Whitening Kits At-Home

Daytime KöR Instructions

  1. Brush your teeth prior to whitening.
  2. Apply KöR desensitizer for the first day. Use a single cotton swap to rub the desensitizer into the outer surfaces of the teeth, with special emphasis on near the gumline. Rish with water when done.
  3. Apply whitening gel to the trays, dispensing a dab of gel into each tooth on the inner side of the outer walls of the tray. Exclude the second molars, the teeth farthest back in your mouth.
  4. Place the whitening trays firmly against your teeth until the edges of the tray contact the teeth next to the gum line. If you see excess gel, you may have overfilled the trays and need to adjust for next time. If no gel has squeezed out, place more gel next time until you can get the optimal level each time.
  5. Wear your KöR whitening trays for 30-60 minutes daily. If you experience some sensitivity, wear your trays closer to 30. If you experience little to no sensitivity, wear your trays for up to 60 minutes.
  6. Remove the whitening trays. Rinse each tray with cold tap water using a Q-tip for correct cleaning.
  7. Place the trays in the provided case and leave the case open, so the trays can dry for the next use. Store the whitening gels in the fridge or a cold place.
  8. Rinse out your mouth with water and brush your teeth.

Nighttime KöR Instructions Differences

Follow the same instructions as the daytime kit for Nighttime KöR teeth whitening treatments. The differences between Nighttime KöR from Daytime KöR are subtle. You should use the provided desensitizer for the first two nights with Nighttime KöR. The trays for Nighttime KöR are to be worn all night and taken out immediately once you wake up.

For Best Results

  • Avoid staining foods: During your whitening treatment and for a couple of days afterward, avoid foods strong enough to stain a white t-shirt badly.
  • Wear KöR whitening trays every day: Keep treatment going each day, as consistency is key to best results.
  • Handle your KöR whitening trays with care:
    • Keep away from heat
    • Keep away from small children or pets
    • Store your trays loosely in the provided case

I always enjoy my teeth cleaning with Emily. You can tell from her attitude that she really cares about her patients. She really is the best. Everyone is helpful at Windsor Family Dental. I highly recommend them.

Dana, my hygienist, did a fantastic job. With over 25 years of experience, she skillfully engaged in conversation with me while working on my teeth, making the cleaning process pleasant and comfortable. I also had the pleasure of meeting Kristi, Dr. DeMatthew's assistant, who was friendly and personable. Dr. DeMatthew herself was articulate in explaining the details of my dental health, making sure I understood everything clearly. Overall, my experience at Windsor Family Dental was wonderful, and I highly recommend Dr. DeMatthew and her staff.

Kaci K.

I had to switch dental clinics because of insurance reasons and I am happy to have landed at Windsor Family Dental. The staff here is great and I love Dr. Zhao, she addressed a concern that I’ve had for years and put my mind at ease. Everyone made me feel comfortable and after my visit my lifelong dread of dental appointments has vanished.
